My life is in-between, not a in place, a journey not a destination, an epic to be defined by a storyteller as a comedy or a tragedy. All i know about myself is that I have no idea what I’m even doing here.

Kristofer Mattsson was born and raised in Oslo after he’s Colombian parents came to Norway due to different reasons. Grew up in Ekeberg and stayed there until i reached 19 and started he’s architectural education in Kingston University.

All he know is that if there is going to be a biography of him, It will have to be a compilation of many other peoples stories such as he’s mother, father, brothers and sisters, the girls and women of he’s life and a few men.

CO: What is the most important drive for you to create and why?
KM: Gratitude and for others and a wish to create a story. Also its meditation for me. A time where I can talk and reflect and think.

CO: Who or what do you value as a great inspiration for you creatively?
KM: History, nature, people and memory.

CO: What’s your first artistic memory?
KM: That was an abstract question, but my best answer might be one time my mum took me to a group exhibition i think. I thought it was boring and it took a very long time, so I actually walked around looking at everything and I didn’t understand almost anything because al the art was abstract. The few things that were figurative were badly made in my 5 or 6 year old opinion.

CO: Can you elaborate on a moment in your life where you experienced a change which altered your way of thinking or your approach to creativity ?
KM: Traveling to Rome and having a great art and architecture guide tell us about the history, context and artists scattered around in that ancient city

CO: What do you consider your greatest achievement?
KM: That my mum and my dad are not worrying or disappointed about me.

CO: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
KM: Constant inspiration, feeling valued, satisfying others, constantly learning,

CO: What is your most treasured possession?
KM: Maybe my photo albums, or my MacBook.

CO: What harsh truths do you prefer to ignore?
KM: That I’m probably very selfish, manipulative gatekeeping person. And nihilistic some times.

CO: What do you aspire to?
KM: In the near future? In life in general? Get my drivers license in order to drive my artistic ambitions and career ambitions

CO: Which young artists have impressed you?
KM: A girl called Fay, she’s an artist from London. her IG is @powerpuffb1tch she’s made a lot of things that i really like personally. Honestly there are soo many things to be impressed by that I think i could mention all my friends that doo art or something retaliated to creativity or crafting.
