Duy Nguyen (1989), also known as Vitaboy, was born in a refugee camp in Malaysia and immigrated to Norway as a 4-year-old. His work explores sentiments of being an outsider, memory loss and suppression from trauma, and themes of masculinity. Reality intervenes with fiction almost as captured daydreams.Through his work, Nguyen processes personal trauma to gain understanding of his own background and invite us to partake in his inspirational exploration.
