Marthe A Andersen (b.1986) is a video and performance artist who explores alternative dimensions and possible outcomes of history, using the antiquity, epic poetry and the glamorous European aristocracy as her stepping-stones. With a sensibility for the esoteric found in popular culture and the popular found in age-old mystical text, she puts together visual and musical reference-collages, with no regard for linear historical storytelling or fixed genres.
