Guttestreker, an artist duo comprising Petter Malterud Grøndahl and Christoffer Kroge Christensen, began their creative collaboration in 2015. Despite lacking formal artistic education, their unconventional approach revolves around what they term "Illustrated Philosophy." Driven by science and informed by scientific discoveries, history, and literature, their artworks tackle themes like abundance, scarcity, religion, and exploitation. Their goal is to engage viewers, prompting reflection on contemporary challenges. Their dystopian depictions, featuring intricate details within expansive compositions, are intentionally adorned with vibrant colors and whimsical figures. This distinctive visual approach aims to educate, entertain, and provoke thought while maintaining a captivating aesthetic.
